Rabbits Information

Rabbits gestate for only 30 days and usually have litters of between 4 and 12 babies (kits) depending on the breed. Once the babies are born, the doe can mate, and become pregnant again as soon as the following day. With these facts, rabbit populations can quickly get out of control and become a problem.
Damage caused by rabbits can become a serious issue and may need to be professionally controlled. Problems caused by rabbits such as destroying crops on agricultural land, intense burrowing by rabbits can cause critical damage to flood defences, motorway and railway embankments, expensive costs to repair damaged sports fields, farmland, horse and pony paddocks.
Axholme Pest Control have many years of experience in passing on technical advice on proofing and control techniques. For fifteen years we have successfully delivered large scale rabbit control treatment and maintenance programmes working alongside the Environment Agency and River Stewardship Company throughout Yorkshire and Midlands regions, ensuring that rabbit activity on the region’s flood defences are professionally managed and kept under control.
